Jason Sidler is married to Toni Dianne (Wiggs). Toni’s parents served as missionaries to Korea for 31 years. Jason and Toni met while attending seminary in Fort Worth, Texas and were married in 1990. They have been married for 34 years and have three children, Elizabeth, Kristen, and Jonathan, along with five grandchildren: Elliott, Judah, Canyon, Easton, and Hampton.
In 1991, Jason and Toni planted a church in Austin, Texas with just 18 people. Over the years, God faithfully grew the ministry, and High Pointe Baptist Church became a strong, mission-focused congregation with a global outreach. The church has also helped plant three new churches in the greater Austin area.
Jason has had the privilege of preaching around the world, including in Bulgaria, Macedonia, Greece, Turkey, Cuba, Canada, Mexico, and throughout the United States.
After ten years in Austin, Jason and Toni felt called to return to the Dallas–Fort Worth area in 2002, where Jason became Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church Justin. They served there for more than seven years. During that time, Jason also led worship, Toni served as Children’s Minister, and together they led mission trips to Bulgaria and Macedonia. God blessed the ministry as many people grew into fully devoted followers of Jesus.
Jason’s greatest joy in ministry is studying, preaching, and teaching the Word of God. His life mission is loving God, loving people, and helping others become faithful followers of Jesus.
Life Verse:
2 Corinthians 4:5–6
“For we do not preach ourselves but Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves as your bond-servants for Jesus’ sake. For God, who said, ‘Light shall shine out of darkness,’ is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.”
